Drugs for the treatment of Hypertension

Doctors often use drugs as an intervention to treat hypertension. These drugs are referred to as "antihypertensives". There are several classes of antihypertensives:

  • Thiazide-type Diuretics
  • ACE Inhibitors
  • Antagonists for Adrenergic Receptors
  • Calcium Channel Blockers
